The goal of CCSD15’s Early Intervention Program is to help ensure a smooth and successful transition to school district programming for children who are currently participating in the Illinois Early Intervention (EI) Program and are approaching their third birthday.
A multidisciplinary team of professionals—which may include a speech-language pathologist, school psychologist, school social worker, occupational therapist, school nurse, and/or physical therapist—may evaluate each child to determine whether they are eligible for preschool special education services and/or a preschool program designed to meet their individual needs.
In addition, CCSD15 offers regular developmental screenings for children ages 0–33 months who reside within the school district’s boundaries. These screenings help identify children who may benefit from further evaluation or developmental support. When appropriate, families may also be connected with our partner agency, Child and Family Connections, which provides in-home therapy and developmental support to children under the age of three who have developmental delays, disabilities, or significant risk factors.
Our goal is to partner with families early, provide appropriate support and resources, and help every child thrive as they grow and develop.
